"Thank you, Lena and Mimi, for dedicating your precious time to train potential teachers in the ABC of inductive Bible study. I attended as a refresher participant and am grateful to be reminded of the importance of using the 5W 1H technique during observation. Additionally, I gained insights into handling children, which I had forgotten after years of working with older kids and adults. I appreciate your sharing of songs for children, especially the two related to learning the books of the Old Testament (OT) and New Testament (NT). These songs will help me teach my grandchildren to memorize the 66 books of the Bible. May God continue to bless the valuable work you are doing, helping children delight in His Word!" Read what teachers say!

I am very encouraged to see the confidence and ease with which the children answer questions by going straight to the Bible. I am thankful that this method is taught to them early, even as young as 9 years old so that they know how to fish for truths even from this point onwards. - Catherine Ding, Sunday School teacher
We embarked on the D4Y series as we felt the need for the kids to dig into God’s Word for themselves. The sessions were interactive and fun, with puzzles, charts and fill-in stories. I saw one child with some learning difficulty become more engaged – for the first time, he was willing to sit at his desk to copy, write, discover and participate in class activities. - Angela Ong & Janet Lim, children ministry staff
I was a little apprehensive at first, as it was a new approach for our children and teachers. With time, however, our fears turned into joy when we saw how our children discovered truths for themselves. I believe this can prepare them for a lifetime of learning by themselves from the Bible. - David Tan, Sunday School teacher

Words from our trainers

Mimi Voo

Being a mom to active and creative boys, I’m always looking for meaningful ways to engage them in learning biblical truths. When my boys were still young, I discovered Precept’s D4Y materials for kids, which were easy to use and interactive.

This motivated them to want to know more about God, stir up their hearts to love His word, and have a personal

relationship with Him.

The versatility of the D4Y materials allows me to use them in various ways – as a guide for family devotions, daily Bible reading, and study. More importantly, they help us leave a legacy of our Christian faith to our children by helping them to study God’s Word inductively and to walk in obedience to Him.

I am thankful for the many opportunities to conduct training sessions for Sunday School teachers, parents and children on how to use the D4Y materials. Many have used the material since then. The participants’ enthusiasm has convinced me that children are ready for in-depth Bible study and more solid teaching. Our children have no problem using the inductive method of studying the Bible to discover God’s truths for ourselves.

Lena Goh

Isn’t it hard to teach inductive Bible Study to children? I used to think that too, until I started using Precept’s D4Y series.

By using this material to teach our children, we have seen for ourselves that the children are learning straight from the Bible, the source of all truth and that they are picking up these inductive study skills even at their young age. It thrills me so much to see our children being taught and brought up in this way.

As one of the two Sunday School Superintendents in my church, I thanked God that the materials can be used for the benefit of our children there, and not only that but also in the various churches that we have conducted training so that fellow teachers in other churches can also guide their children in the inductive study of the Bible.

We received many testimonies from teachers that they are very excited to use the D4Y materials. Both teachers and children have claimed that they have never studied the Bible in this way before – discovering God’s Word for themselves – Praise the Lord !
